Pennsylvania Wedding Florist: Woodland Centerpiece

Have you ever dreamed about frolicking in the woods and picking flowers? As a little girl, I loved going to my grandparents’ house. They lived on a six acre property that was mainly wooded. I used to make my way through the woods to an opening where a meadow full of flowers was just beyond the trees. This was my special place. I love nature, especially flowers!

What if you could bring this wonderful feeling into the floral décor for your wedding? Imagine walking through the woods surrounded by towering trees with sunlight trickling through and soft moss under your feet. Can you picture the ferns and flowers peeking up out of ground? What if you could incorporate this vision into your wedding?

Now just picture a small piece of this scenery trailing down the center of a farmhouse table during your wedding reception. I love this nontraditional option for a wedding centerpiece! I bet all of your guests would remember your wedding décor!

How would you incorporate a woodland look to your big day? Wedding flowers no longer need to be traditional round centerpieces. Make yours unique just like you.

In additional to your table centerpieces, I can just imagine a beautiful loose bouquet more of a variety of ferns, succulents, and delicate flowers and maybe some flowers in your hair. What do you think?

Philadelphia Wedding Florist: Floral Milk Bath

What comes to mind when you hear “milk bath?” When Kylene of Leave It To Me Photography asks if I want to participate in one of her crazy ideas, I jump at the chance. As most of you know, I just had my first child a few months ago. When Kylene said that she wanted to do a milk bath photo shoot, my first thought went to “I have lots of breastmilk, but why would she want it.” You see, I give my son milk baths. I guess that I have been in a bubble lately. Haha.

Once I talked to her, I realized that she wanted to put a model in a milk bath with flowers. No breastmilk needed. 🙂

I had such a great time stylizing this photo shoot with vintage inspired lavender and white flowers such as garden roses and delphinium. Isn’t this romantic?!

I absolutely love the vintage feel of this shoot. The lovely lace dress looked so elegant with the soft roses, delphinium and kiwi vines floating in milky water. Kait’s beauty was accentuated by the gorgeous makeup applied by Ruthie’s Eyes.

Makes me want to take a milk bath too! How about you?

It is always an adventure with Kylene. Can’t wait for our next one!

Delaware Wedding Florist: Floral Stylized Photo Shoot with Cate

I decided to share the pictures from my pin-up inspired floral stylized photo shoot with Cate from last Spring, because I am happy to announce that Cate just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Parker Rose!!!

We had a little bit of drizzly rain during this shoot, but we were troopers.  I love the feel of this shoot, especially with the 1940 Ford Convertible!  If you don’t know me personally, then you may not know that my family is obsessed with hot rod cars.  This car is my uncle’s who let me borrow it for the day.  I am very fortunate!

I wanted to keep a retro All-American theme with red, white, and blue.  The bouquet is designed with lush white peonies, delicate blue delphinium, and bright red hypericum berries and accented with a red bandana.

What do you think about the style of this shoot?  What are you inspired by?  Do you have any suggestions for future floral stylized photo shoots?  I would love to hear from you!

I hope that these pictures inspire you for your wedding day.  Contact me to schedule your own bridal consultation.

Delaware Wedding Florist: Harry’s Savoy Bridal Show (Winter 2015)

There was such a great turn out on Sunday at the Harry’s Savoy Bridal Show! I do not think that I had time for a break the entire show! My favorite thing was meeting all of the brides and grooms and their friends and family. I love how each wedding is different. It gets my creative juices flowing! I love being a wedding florist!

I wanted to achieve a romantic, vintage, and rustic feeling with my arrangements for this show. Let me know if you think that I was able to accomplish this. The biggest hit was the duchess rose bouquet. Everyone was very inquisitive about how I created it. Furthermore, everyone loved the small boutonnieres, especially since they are a current trend with grooms.

If you would like to schedule a consultation for your wedding flowers, please contact me today. I look forward to hearing from you! Hope everyone is enjoying this “snow” day!
